Alberto Garlandini is Vice President of the International Council of Museums (ICOM). Garlandini was a member of the ICOM Committee for Museum Definition, Prospects and Potentials, and previously served as President of the Italian National Committee of ICOM. At the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he was a member of the National Commission for the promotion of Italian culture abroad, and was president of Lombardy's Film Commission Foundation. He has published over 180 books, essays, and articles on the topic of museums and cultural heritage in Italian, English, and French.
